Encouraging Girls Education in South Sudan.
Girls Education is still a crucial problem in south sudan and calls for a joined
contribution of stake holders, Teachers, parents and Mentors. My plan is to work
closely with the few female teachers who should encourage girls by talking to them,
Act as Mentors and Mothers to them, being exemplary or role models to the girls so that
they will see a future which is visible through the teachers. There is also need to creat
awareness among the parents  who are ignorant about the importance of girls education
thus, both teachers and parents work together  to ensure the enrolement and
retention of the girls in schools. I will also advocate in preservice and inservice teacher
training programs to consider the aspect of Feminism so that the female teachers come out empowered and ready to inspire others.
together we can acheive the goals of the MDGs which were sett to be achieved by the year 2015. Better late than Never !!

  1. Peace, you have come up with wonderful ideas. It's indeed important to be a role model to our girls because it will act as an indirect way of motivating them to continue with their education. I also think being role model will help us in the process of awareness since it will pass a very powerful message to our community about female education and it will contribute towards changing the hearts of the parents who do not want to send their children to school.

  2. Drania, I can see some connection between us in your plan, so I am one of the teachers you want to work closely with to encourage girls' education therefore, let us join hands together to encourage girls' education in South Sudan. Another good thing that I like is the coordination that we can make between two different states of South Sudan.

  3. I like the idea of you working with the few female teachers, we really need more female teachers as role model and have upgrading training to be up to date teachers and help in encouraging our girls to take education seriously. in addition the female teachers, would be free to solve issues individual girls face.

  4. I love that you want to encourage cooperation between teachers and parents. Having community involvement is so critical to the success of any program! Very well stated and I'm excited to hear of your successes!
